I stumbled on this tonight and thought it may interest a lot of you.

It made for very interesting reading, and explains why some of the alternative things I do with my goats actually work (I copper bolus and use medicinal grade herbs)

I have read this before I think. I have oaks and the goats constantly eat the leaves and unfortunately the acorns. So far they have been fine - a vet at a goat clinic mentioned that the acorns dont hurt them as far as tannin toxicity, but they shouldnt eat the green ones.
I was doing some reading on if there was something I could throw out on the field that goats especially liked and chicory was one of the seeds in this mix that was goat specific. I was considering putting some clover out and then read that goats dont really eat it - go figure - it smells like heaven to me in hay.
