My buck's sire has a *S after his name... what does that mean?

A buck with a *S after his name means that his dam and his sire's dam both had milk stars in AGS, but it could have been either one-day or 305-day stars. There is an explanation of all the milk stars on the AGS website -- www.americangoatsociety.com
