Wether Health Care Question

Just wondering about our wether pictured here. He acts fine... sassy and sweet, but the hair around his eyes, ears, and the bridge of his nose seems to be rather thin. I don't remember it being this thin, and the rest of the herd doesn't seem to be experiencing the same thing. Any ideas, or is this not anything to be concerned about?

  • His face actually doesn't look that bad, and his coat does not look faded, so if his tail is fine, I wouldn't think it's copper deficiency. Plus he's a wether so has zero demands on his body compared to a breeding animal. Could just be spring shedding gone a little overboard.
  • Also, he gets Sweetlix Meat Maker 16:8 for a loose mineral, which I believe (without looking at it) has a good amount of copper in it...

  • His tail seems to be fine.

  • That is usually a sign of copper deficiency, but it's very strange to see that in a wether. They are usually very easy keepers. Is the tip of his tail nice and bushy?
