Hi all!! I saw there was another farm in WI here, so I'm really glad to see that. We've lived rurally before, but never had a place we intended to be a farm. I'm a canine massage therapist and my husband is a trainer and we recently bought an existing dog kennel in Western Wisconsin which wasn't operational, but had a good infrastructure. We're spending the winter getting it up and running and come spring, hope to add goats and chickens to the mix. After all my research, I've decided on ND. They seem to be the best fit for me and my family and I liked the reviews of the milk they product. No, I've not been close enough to a goat to touch, much less milk, and I'm a total NOOB. LOL If there are any ND farms or ranches within a few hours of me, I'd love to come visit when you're not too busy and see your herd. This is something I've wanted for a very long time and I want to do it right! Thanks! Meg Wittenmyer Bifrost Farms, Boyceville, WI www.bifrostfarms.com

I'd love some suggestions. I haven't really gotten as far as deciding where I want to get them. I think because I'm kind of intimidated about what to look for. But as you mentioned in another message, I do want good, quality goats bred for disposition, milk quality and kidding, and not just from someone looking to make money by breeding goats without regard to the species. Thanks!! You can email me at bifrostfarms@gmail.com.

Howdy. I am also in WI. I'm on the other side of the state though, like 2.5 hours east of you almost to GB. I have the NDs. If you're looking for a good place to buy your stock from contact me and I can tell you where I would recommend.

Welcome to this site and to Nigerians. I'm to far for you to visit but I always get excited when new people want to get into the Nigerian world. This is a great place to ask questions and learn. Hope you get some "hands on' soon.
Welcome! I'm in Illinois, a couple hours from the Wisconsin border. You're welcome to come visit, and I also have goat classes in March: http://antiquityoaks.com/classes.html
