Taking a day off..

Is it ok to not milk 1 day every once in a while, or will it throw everything off?  I don't want to upset the "flow", but if something comes up that you can't get to it will that affect their system too much?  Twins are still with her feeding also.

    It depends. As long as she is nursing young kids, you can skip a day or two and it won't be a problem. The older the kids get and the more days you skip, the more of a problem it can be. For example, last year I went on vacation and the person milking the goats did not milk a single goat for two weeks that had one kid or more on her. Many of these kids were 4 months or older, and they do not nurse that much. I came back to goats with half the production they had when I left!
