My oldest, largest goat who looked ready to kid back in Dec has had a prolapse. She is very uncomfortable but when she stands the prolapse goes back inside. She is 150 days in 2 weeks. Any thoughts on making her more comfortable?

What exactly does prolapse look like? My one doe is very huge and due in a week. Her back end is swollen and has been for at least a week. Also, her "hole" is slightly opened. About the size of a finger. Should I be concerned?
My goat had a large fleshy grapefruit size prolapse in the end. She lost her quints and looked like she wasn't going to make it. Today is is back to normal...looking good and being her sweet self.

I have seen this happen before. You will need a vet to sew her up to keep the uterus in place. Unfortunately she will probably do this again in the future. Good luck. Amy
This is for Deborah: I love to read all your suggestions. You have an experienced answer to almost every question that comes to this site. It is fantastic! You have answered questions that I didn't even have yet but as a goat owner may need in the future!
You also need a prolapse harness to keep it in/on her. You might need a smaller one for a Nigerian doe though. If the people at Premier can't help you, do you have a vet that might be able to?

Although I've never had one of those, I know they sell prolapse retainers in the catalogs:
