  • I only skimmed it, but good article...  I train dogs for a living and also have two very high prey drive dogs, one German Shepherd and one German Shepherd cross.  The purebred shepherd was a real chaser in the beginning but now is totally trustworthy even around baby goats.  That was many many hours of hard work on my part with a remote collar.  If anyone is having dog chasing livestock or attacking livestock problems I will be happy to talk through the protocoll for fixing it.

     

    Other dog is one who will not be rehabbed.  He has been trained as far as he will go, and still wears a muzzle if there is not a fence between him and the animals.  We love him enough to go to the trouble to keep him.  Sometimes management is the answer.
