Not Pregnant?

At the end of April, we brought a buck in who spent about a week and a half with my girls. The older doe didn't seem to come back into heat and gained weight over the summer, so we thought she was pregnant.  However, this is our first time breeding so we've spent the last month wondering if we were right.
Like I said, she gained quite a bit of weight and about 3 weeks ago she started getting some discharge occasionally.  One day it was a kind of golden color, but most of the time it is white/clearish.  It has been happening way too often to be her heat cycle (every 2-3 days).  Her udder filled up--but only about half way.  She had been dried off before this but there is definitely fluid in there, as I've squirted some out just to be sure it isn't a meatiness in her udder that I'm feeling.
We are pretty much past any possible due date now, so I'm guessing she just didn't get bred.  But I'm a little worried about all the discharge she's been having.  Some days it was only a couple drops, some days it was more like a teaspoon or so.
Is there any sort of condition (losing the pregnancy maybe?) that would cause this to happen?
She seems happy and healthy in other ways, though she lays down more than she used to (which might just be the heat).

  • Goats can have reproductive issues. Although I've been lucky enough to not have any here (knock on wood), I've heard of others talk about does getting cystic or having false pregnancies. An infection could also cause discharge and keep her from getting pregnant.
