Not New at This but Still...

I bought a goat and was given a goat  both who met with the escaped buck. The owner figured they were due September 10th. That means we are a month out. The last time I bought an alledged bred goat she was not! I am pretty such these two are because the FF is building and udder and has the look of a bred goat as well as loose girly parts. The other is much larger has a small udder (she's kidded before) and is spent a lot of time laying about.  Her girly parts are also quite loose.

Of course if they don't kid I will know that they didn't get bred...

Then they will go in with my buck until they are.

I am excited and also holding my breath.

  • The both sort of look pregnant, but I wouldn't bet the farm on it. The udders are usually your best indicator. If they keep getting bigger, then they're pregnant. If they just get little udders that don't continue to gradually increase in size, then they could be precocious udders. I also have a first freshener who is due around Sept. 10, and she has a nice little handful so far.
