I sold a doe and her doeling to a family that kinda lives in town (small town) and they absolutely love them. Most of their neighbors like them as well but they have one neighbor a couple of weeks after they got them that started to complain about the noise the doe was making. To the best of my knowledge the doe is not screaming but more just talking they cann't hear her in the house. She is not by herself she has her doeling, a miniature horse and her foal the chickens all the food she could want and they have tried spending more time with her but that almost seemed to make it worse. The family is willing to try another adult doe to see if that would work but they would really like to just stay with the 2 goats. Any ideas? Mac's Rainbow SM

We have a doe that has always been loud since we purchased her. She is around 3 other females, a buck, horse and a wether. I have decided that she likes to hear herself talk and make sure that I hear her. She will call at me from the back of the farm if she knows that I look out. So in my opinion, some are more vocal. Getting another doe might not be the best, unless it could be done on a trial basis. It also takes time for them to settle into a new place. I used to think maybe a couple of weeks, but sometimes it takes longer.
If you read the last sentence before the question mark that is an option. I was just putting out feelers to see if there might be other ideas they could try thanks.
I know each goat is different they also act different in different settings. This doe was born on my place and to the best of my knowledge made hardly any noise at all.

Since every goat is different, it's really hard to know what will work with one. Could you let them take a second doe with the understanding that you'll take her back if it doesn't help?
