  • Ho that's why its a little bit different from pygmy or Nigerian. So she might be mixed breed with the Maltese goat which is native here. And thanks for the reply.
  • That explains a lot! If you are in Malta, this is a goat that is native to your area. There are hundreds of breeds of goats in the world, and unfortunately I am only familiar with those in the US. This is definitely NOT a pygmy or a Nigerian dwarf. It is one of your local breeds. That explains why she doesn't look anything like any of the breeds I am familiar with.

Sorry I just saw your responses. I don't know why Ning isn't sending me notifications.

  • Hi i look at a picture that i have took before the ear tags clipped, her ears were straight inclined shape.
  • Hi she is 4months old. 18inches height and 24 length. Her ears are quite small in my point of view. I bought her from a farm in Malta. I'm Maltese
  • I've never seen a goat that looks like that. She is not a purebred. The floppy ears and big bones make me think she has some boer in her. Do you know how old she is? I've never seen a goat that small with such heavy leg bones. The coat makes me think she could have some angora in her. Angoras also have floppy ears, but they don't have bones like that. Where did you get her?
