New to Goats

Hello Everyone,
My name is Michelle and I have been researching in preparation for starting my first small herd. I have decided on the Nigerian Dwarf not only because they are so beautiful, but they seem to be perfect for our situation. We live out in the country in the Florida Panhandle, but have a small plot of land.
Over the next year I plan to be preparing the pasture and building the goat barn. Any suggestions as to what sort of vegetation, bush and bramble to plant are welcome.
I enjoy looking at the pictures on the website and reading the blogs. I feel so welcome. Thank you!

For right now I plan to have a concrete floor and cover it with hay. Then my boys can muck out the stalls and we can use it for composting. Congratulations on the new babes. I bet they are SO cute!

We would eventually like to build a barn, but that is a ways off. We started out with a small wooden goat house at first but later decided that we would do better with a cattle panel and tarp house  so that we could move the house with the pens around the yard. My front porch is enclosed so that is the nursery right now. I will be putting them out in their pens around the end of this week. For now, during their outside time they have access to the whole yard which they love...
