The person who usually helps me is ill. Is there someone in the Essex Vt area that could just hold them while I do the trimming> I have 12 goats. They weigh 22lb to 38 lb.
Also does anyone have a very very small buck? I would love to breed Sammi Jo but she is so tiny, Donna of Aw Shucks Goat Farm

Sorry I don't know anyone in your area that can help out with trimming hooves, but if your doe is less than 35-40 pounds, she should not be bred. Doesn't really matter if the buck is tiny or not; some of the larger genes could come through. If this is a mature doe and she's less than 16 inches, I'd never breed her. Every now and then a true dwarf pops up in NDs. I have one like that, and I haven't sold her because I don't want her to eventually wind up with someone who might breed her. She's 3 years old and is the same size as my 6-month-old kids.
