Could someone here explain what all the initials and number from a linear appraisal mean and what is poor, average, good and outstanding? I can't seem to find this info anywhere. A friend just sent me an email with the results from a local outstanding herd but it's mostly gibberish to me. It seems like I could learn what to look for and make better decisions on purchasing animals if I knew what it all meant.
Example: a certain FF had a score of EEEV 89. I understood from what the email said that this was exceptional but don't have anything to compare it to.

It's based on a scale of 0 to 100, so a "poor" goat would have a score of 59 and less. The highest scores I've ever seen are in the low 90s, which is an E, and it's very rare. We've only had three or four with a score that high. A FF with a score of 89 is highly unusual. If she's 2 years old, it wouldn't be quite as unusual, but still a very good goat. The scores usually increase each year until the goat hits its prime.
Are E and V the only letters possible? What's a good score or a poor score on the letters? On the numbers what is the highest possible score for a dairy goat, full size or mini? What's the worst score possible?
