I finally got Deborah's book! I kept getting emails that it was delayed and the last one I got said it would be here on the 17th! You and your team did a fine job on the book! Everything is very easy to find. I really liked what I have read so far, I am looking forward to digging into it as I take on more things to do with self reliant living. I would have really liked color photos, but that is just a personal preference for books with photos, and it doesn't take away from the information. I had to fight with the mailbox to get the book out, but it was totally worth it!

We must have had a different mail lady because the regular one leaves them in walmart bags on the hook or if we have a lot of books come in at once she has left them on the car for us. I wondered if the mailbox would come off the post before I got the box out. I have no idea how she got it in there.
I will sure be using the book a lot in the next year. I am hoping to start making soap. Once the garden really gets going and I have something to can. I am asking for canning supplies for Christmas. And a set of dishes because we're down to about 3 bowls.
The weather is getting far better now, and so I think I will start baking again. Last year during the winter I baked the majority of our bread and froze some for the warmer months which is a good chunk of the year here. We know the air conditioner went out in August, but we are unsure if it had any effect on the heater. If the heater did go out, then the oven running all the time will be a blessing! I don't handle cold well. I told David we're bringing the girls inside to kid next year. Of course he hates the idea but Earleir this year they kidded on the 2 coldest days of the year, and the worst week in terms of weather. 32 outside means 42 on the porch, and that is still way too cold for me!

I would have liked color photos too, but it would have added about $7 to the cost of the book, which I figured wasn't worth it. It's one reason I have the website to go with it.
