Hi All:
Wasn't sure what category this should go in.
I have my goatfarm on a somewhat busy country-like roadway. This attracts a number of people who have become regular fans of my goats. They come and eat lunch with my goats, visit when taking grandchildren to the ice cream place down the street, it sucks in other goat folks.
Sometimes people have come ONTO my farm to snuggle goats.
I think it is wise to have insurance as invariably - the human kids want to play on the GOAT kids toys and what if......
Anyone have a good insurance company that helps you regarding this - would it be farm insurance or some other insurance?
I have relatively inexpensive insurance that covers folks when they herd sheep at my sheep farm but my goats aren't part of that so I need something different.

We have a farm insurance policy. It really just covers FARM stuff though -- like if someone fell and hurt themselves when they were coming to buy a goat. If you are getting into products or classes, etc, you need a CGL, which is commercial general liability.
I have no advice, just want to follow this thread. I need insurance, or perhaps to become an LLC, because I'm starting to deal more with the public by having events, soap making classes, etc, but it's so confusing and expensive I haven't done it yet. Even talked to a local lawyer who is a friend of the family, but he didn't really have any good advice for me.
I have a friend who has run into the same problem, but with horses. She does lessons and pony rides and would like to do a camp, but insurance costs are preventing it.
