Hi Everyone! My name is Debbie Watkins-Parker and I am excited about being added to this group. We live in Central New York State on a 169 acre farm. We raise heifers, chickens and do a lot of hay. I have wanted goats on the property for years and have now refurbished our small barn for goats. We also have a great fenced in pasture by the barn all ready. I fell in love with Nigerian Dwarfs when I visited a friend a few years ago. These sweet animals were friendly and loving and absolutely full of mischief. They were also the cutest things I have ever seen. I was in love.
I would like to purchase 2 or 3 doelings this Spring. I don't mind traveling a couple of hours or so. We live in West Winfield which is about 15 miles northwest of Cooperstown.
Can anyone help me? I have emailed some breeders in the hope of reserving but haven't had much luck as of yet. My email is dwatkinsparker@gmail.com. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have found a Nigerian Dwarf breeder who is about 4 hours from me. She's in MA. I'm in a town called West Winfield which is about 20 minutes from Cooperstown. Where are you? She has bred several does and is expecting kids in early April. If you'd like, I'll send you her contact info.

I'm new too. I'm also from Upstate New York. We haven't purchased any goats yet but we are looking into and learning first. I too find it hard to find any Nigerians around the area.
