My name is Tammy Knight and I live on a 5 acre farm (that will be for sale if anyone is interested :)). We have just purchased 10 acres 5 miles down the road and I am anxious to get it set up just right for all my animal family. It is bare land so it will definitely be a project.

I also have poultry (chickens, guineas, call ducks, peacocks), a Kiger mustang mare, 4 dogs (a 13 year old Border Collie, a 7 year old Akbash, a 6 year old Australian Cattle Dog and a 3 year old Belgian Tervuren that I do Schutzhund with), 3 cats, 2 Lineolated parakeets, a canary and a few amphibs (poison dart frogs, tree and reed frogs and a couple of anoles)

I'm new to Nigies but not to goats, I've had Obers as pets in the past.  I plan to show, and hopefully someday make cheese, and soap. I am picking up my first three this coming weekend, a doe and two doelings from Marybeth Bullington of Elfin Acres in OR. The first pic is Violet, followed by Lily and then Daisy (with her sister) :) I'm also picking up a doeling from Donna Schoonover named Opal.  I'm also very excited to be on a waiting list for a doeling out of Deborah Nieman-Boehle's Caboose. I'm looking forward to gleaning lots of information from everyone here to help and am excited to be a part of your community! Tammy

  • Welcome looks like you have chosen some beauties!
  • Glad you found the group! We lived in Bremerton in 1986-87 when my husband was in the Navy. I loved Washington State and wish we would have moved there permanently.

Thanks for posting pictures! I hope Caboose gives you a doeling. She usually throws 50/50, and we're having a doe year, so let's hope she follows through!
  • Welcome to the group! Looking at your pics, I think you have chosen some wonderful does/doelings! I have lots of different animals, too, but my ND's are by far my favorites. They have a way of wrapping themselves around your heart - and getting you attached to them in a very short amount of time. Good luck with your move - I am anxious to hear how it all goes!
