Hi fellow herders!

Im in Central Texas trying to milk my way to riches. HA HA HA. I make cheese, fudge, soap and lotion with the milk. Love my little Nigerians and have been breeding them since 2013. Each year teaches something else or another way to do it. I have some registered with ADGA, AGS and unregistered.

  • Oh, my! You're the opposite of a snow bird. :) I love Illinois about six months a year ... from April through September. I was never a fan of Texas summers.

  • I'm an Ohio native and only go visit in the summer.

  • I grew up in Refugio (between Corpus and Victoria) and am really starting to think about heading down there again -- at least during the winter. Illinois winters are so cold! Didn't bother me at all when I was younger, but every year it feels worse.

  • Yep when ever we would drive east from El Paso things just got greener and greener.  The Hill country was always very nice.

  • Thankfully, central Texas is full of green most of the time. When it isn't, feed bills go up. LOL

  • I am a little late to the party, but welcome Ginger to the group.  I used to live in TX but on the far west end of the state from you.  I was stationed for several years in El Paso until I couldn't take the desert any longer and had to get back to the land of green growing things and water :)

  • Welcome to the group! It's awesome that you're doing so much with the milk. These are terrific little milkers!
