Thank you for welcoming us to the group. My husband and I are just getting started with goats. In fact we are still in research mode. We plan to have a couple kids in or around May. Yay!! We are excited to be able to talk to others who love goats and who have experience with them. I am sure we will have a lot of questions.

Hello Goat lovers!
I am new to goats, I live on a small ranch in Colorado, I have a great barn set -up for goats... now just need to decide on 2-3 to start with. I narrowed my choices down to Nigerian. I am interested in raising goats for therapy but have MUCH to learn!!! I'll be glad to meet all of you and learn from you.
Well, if you haven't seen my website yet, head over and take a look: http://www.nigeriandwarfdairygoats.com
I'm an hour or two from various parts of northern Illinois. And if you're interested in homesteading things beyond goats, check out our farm site: http://www.antiquityoaks.com
There are already a lot of great discussions in the archives about housing, fencing, etc, so take a look when you get a chance. Not too many people are lucky enough to buy a farm that already has facilities that will work for goats.
