Hello from Alaska

Hello all I am a life long Alaskan grown tomboy who wouldnt trade a second for anything. I was lucky enough to grow up around anything and everything I love and own my own ranch.

I have everything from Alpacas. chickens and horses to snakes and will soon be adding ND to the list. I grew up in 4-H and have been a leader for 11 years in the group I was raised in.

I have researched for two years on these lil cuties and this spring will be purchasing a few to fly up and join the farm. I look foward to learning from all of you, thank you for your time and advice.

  • I am in the interior, so 350ish miles one way from Wasilla. Not a big deal for a drive for us, the nearest stop light is over 100 miles from me as well :D

The ND will be the first "big" animal 4-H project for my kiddo. At a local (100 miles one way) Fair he saw a ND that matched his grulla horse TomTom and it got the ball rolling. The hopes of shipping a few up is new bloodlines for the state and if we end up not fitting into the goat world (I doubt it) then I could sell them fairly easy as they wont be related to anyone else here.

  • Welcome to the group! What part of Alaska are you in? One of my bucks is from Silver Aurora in Wasilla.
