Hey all, hard to find a straight answer on this. Approximately how much hay can I plan on needing to feed 2 ND goats per day/week/month? I'll be getting a 4 Month Old Doe & Wether next Summer.
What's the average consumption amount. Without pasture grazing. Some grain supplement. Thanks.

They would be fine with one flake or half a flake, twice a day, depending on how thick the flakes are in your particular bales. They won't eat that much at four months though. Don't worry about buying too much hay. As long as it's kept dry, it will last for years.
You won't need to feed them grain after a few months. I usually tell people to get a 50# bag of grain when they take home kids, and when they run out of that grain, don't buy another bag. Only does in milk need grain.
