Who knew keeping dairy goats in the city of Chicago would be so...awesome!!! We got our NDs in June with one on her FF -- such amazing animals!
Being in IT, I thought I'd make a website to track everything related to goats, herds, milking, care, breeding, documents, photos, etc. so anyone with goats could benefit. I'm at the point where I'd like to get a few users to do some "beta" testing to work out bugs and provide feedback to improve its usefulness.
The site currently has the following features:
- Goat/Herd Information and Records (names, birth dates, parents, RFID tag, etc.)
- Freshening List (date ranges, freshening number)
- Milking Data Log (AM/PM with comments, totals, estimates)
- Milking entry via Text/SMS and Email.
- Health Chart Log
We'll be breeding our does soon, so that will be the next module to be added. Please send an email to support@goatdata.com if you are interested.

It is a place for people to track their own herd(s) and assign other people with different levels of access -- like an ERP system for goats. Information is kept private, but depending on user feedback and consensus, limited "trend" data may be shared (like average milk quantities, weights, etc.).
Is this a place where people can track their own herd, or is the information being put into a public database?
