  • A goat's tail should be bushy on the end. If it looks like it's missing hair on the tip and is forked like a fish's tail, that's often caused by copper deficiency. You would probably see other symptoms too, however, such as faded coat (gold goat turning cream; cream goat turning white), failure to blow their coat at the end of winter; fertility problems; goat not getting pregnant; not coming into heat; miscarriages.
