I have goats that are coughing The two girls started a few weeks ago. They are still all running around and eating. They have a runny nose and it was very hot today and I could hear them breathing and it sounded a little congested. Any suggestions??

It could be the first sign of pneumonia, or it could be allergy, a cold or dust. I had a goat once who coughed for years. I assumed it was allergy, because she was healthy otherwise. The first thing to do is to take their temperatures. You will want to do it at different times, because on hot days, they can have higher temps. If they are developing a fever then they need to be treated with antibiotics.
Some people give benadryl syrup to see whether that works to stop the coughing. Have you changed your hay lately? Sometimes it can be dustier and cause problems in some goats.
Goat Health Care has a chapter on coughing in goats that suggests a variety of different causes and treatments from vitamin C to antibiotics.
