One week from tomorrow our Sarah Goat is due to have her babies...Today we think she fell from the top of the play house...she was inside it, hubby heard and thud and turned around to see her on her side laying next to the one side that has no openings except at ground level....She is up and walking around with the rest of the goats and even ran to me to get her morning treat...but I still am concerned about the fall.

I know right, I was wondering why hubby was so off hand about it and did not tell me until he was walking out the door to go to work...I was so worried I called him back and work and asked him to give me more details...that was when he clarified it was the sleeping house and not the play thing...he was wondering why I was asking what side by color lol.
So glad she didn't fall from four feet! I am truly amazed at how resilient goats are though. I just cringe as they butt and push each other around when they're pregnant. There is no telling what exactly is too much. Hope she continues to do well!
Hej from Sweden !
Oh this would worry me also. I sure hope she will be fine. I have not had this happen yet here at Gullringstorp, so I really don't have any experience with this.
I really hope Sarah Goat will be fine. I will send my good wishes to Sarah Goat!
Update: I just found out she did NOT fall from the 4foot high playhouse but was next to the 2 foot high house she sleeps in... probably fell while trying to jump up...Me and hubby really need to work on our communication skills...but if you will keep praying for her anyway that would be awesome.
She is walking around normally grazing....was less than impressed at me feeling her belly but was very happy to gobble up the acorn treats.
If much happened, I would think she would go promptly into labor. Is she bleeding or oozing?
