Cargo(ats)

Pine Shadows Brandi and LPC Typhoon made it safely to Pink Roses last night. As always there were lots of curious and excited people along the way. I love the look on some peoples faces when they realize its a goat in the car. HAHA! A truck driver tried to take a picture with his cell phone, and when we stopped at a gas station a man asked if he could take a picture. He and his wife have Nubians and we talked about making cheese. It was probably the most organized car trip with goats we have had yet. We have had a few trips in the past and been able to perfect the art. Little Ty rode shotgun with me most of the way. Most goats will settle in and lay down, but not Brandi she stood the whole way. She is awfully strong, She just about drug me around the yard  trying to get her into her pen. But everything worked out. Brandi is pregnant and due mid December, Indiana is due at the end of January, and I am not certain if Isabel took or not, but if she did she is also due around the same time. So there will be plenty of babies to go around here! I am planning to keep most of them, as I have promised David that I wouldn't buy any more goats next year.

  • Thanks Deborah, I am really excited to have her. I had requested one of her babies because she has a very good memory, and when she came up for sale instead I just had to have her. For some reason she didn't do very well at show, and her previous owner is getting into showing a lot more now, and so she decided to let her go, which works out really well for me because I am all about milk and don't really want to show... at least for now.
