I'm posting this picture to help people on buckling disbudding as it is different from doeling disbudding.. You are supposed to do the figure 8. Well, myself and others could not visualize what they were talking about until I shaved the buds. Then I saw what they meant and thought I'd post a picture to help others.
If you look at that line coming down from the bud towards the center (it is raised and you can feel it) , that is where the second horn will grow ergo: scur.
What you do is burn the buds and pop off the cap, then burn a second ring over the lines you see in the picture, which will have the copper ring as well over that line. That is what the figure 8 looks like. The second picture is blurry but you can see the line.
I hope that helps first time disbudders. Opinions welcomed.

Absolutely!! I psych myself out before I do it, but as I'm doing it and done, I smile and say "piece of cake" LOL
Yes I was part of another discussion on here that was helpful as well about the figure 8 and the difference in disbudding bucks and does, but it seems I can never look at too many pictures or watch too many videos!
You're very very welcome. This pics were, as I'm sure you know, are only the buckling not the doeling.. If I was confused,, I know a lot of other were as well. I'm glad I was given the opportunity to take pictures and post. Good Luck!
