Brand New Goat Owner

Hello, I'm Jen and I'm married with two kids.  I have two dogs, a pekingese and a pomeranian, and two cats.  On Friday we will be first time goat owners to 3 whethers. I am so excited, but also nervous about the feeding part and drinking part.  I'm terrified of them getting urinary calculi.  I don't remember being this nervous since my kids were babies!

    Congratulations on your new goats! No need to worry about UC in wethers as long as you just give them grass hay in winter and leave them on pasture in summer. You can give them about 1/2 cup of grain a day when they're babies, but stop when they get to about six months because most of their growing is done by then, so they really don't need it.
