Bloat

I bought a mother goat with her 10 day old singleton. She's been fed sweet feed.  She looks bloated to me or like she is still pregnant.  Is this normal in Nigerians?

She definitely not sick but just wide like she is ready to kid... she is 6 years old so yes perhaps she lost her figure, poor dear.

Some goats lose their girly figure if they've kidded a few times (like some of us humans too). Bloat kills goats, and it's not something you "see" exactly. It makes them terribly sick and often kills them within hours. No, she is definitely not still pregnant. If she had unexpelled kids, she would have been VERY sick within a day or two and died within three or four days.
