Prairie Fleur has it's first baby!!!!!! Cayenne freshened with a beautiful baby buckling yesterday afternoon, After I'd been out to check on her at noon and decided that she wouldn't kid anytime really soon! He's lively and seems to be healthy! Cuter than a button, I think!! She had him all dried off and everything before I went back out to check on her before a friend left. My friend's little girls asked me on the way out, "You don't think there's Any chance she'd have her baby, do you??" And they were beyond thrilled when we rounded the corner and I was like, "There's a Baby!!!" They loved him up and held him so I could take pics, and gave him kisses. Mom is doing fine it looks like tho she sent me for a loop last night with her passing goo that looked like another baby might be making it's appearances! Then she proceeded to pass a restful night chewing her cud while I nearly worried myself sick waiting for this baby to show up!!!!! Then the mucous stopped and that was it and she has continued eating, chewing her cud and caring for baby. I finally went in to try to rest and combat the raging stress headache that I'd somehow gotten so I didn't go completely insane! My husband checked on her before e left for work and said she looked about the same, relaxed and baby was sleeping.
He's big! That's one of the little girls holding him in the third pic and he takes up quite a bit of both arms! She's about 9 I think.
Ahh! They ARE almost identical!!!! My boy has a white X on his forehead yet under his white poll. I'd though of naming him Prairie Fleurs X Factor! Lol I need some good name ideas!
