I forgot to ask on my last post about giving baby aspirin to a pregnant doe. I have heard 1 baby aspirin for every 10 lbs - but not sure if that applies to preg goats!

I don't like to bribe my goats with honey or other sweeteners. I figure it they need it, they'll eat it. And most of mine will even eat wormwood when they need it -- and that's bitter. Like I said, my goats ate up all the baby willows around our pond, so if it's possible to OD on it, they didn't reach that level. That's also why I don't like to add sweeteners. Let them eat what they need. They'll eat more if you add a sweetener and might OD. You could put a tablespoon of it in a bowl and see what she thinks of it. I make a pot of tea with a tablespoon of it.
I've used willow bark for goats that need aspirin. It contains the same active component as aspirin but in a complete and natural form so that it doesn't damage the gut the way aspirin does. I personally drink willow bark tea when my arthritis is acting up because I can't take NSAIDs. Goats love it, and they can't OD on it. I know because they've eaten all the baby willows around our pond.
If that doesn't help, I have used a prescription NSAID from the vet. I'm traveling right now and don't want to trust my memory, although I think I remember the name. It's a pill that only has to be given once a day,

I didn’t know it was ok for the tummy- good to know!
Any ideas as a starting point? I give all herbs in honey balls - they love them!
