1 unhappy goat

Hey everyone!

So I know that one goat will rule the heard and one will be at the bottom and be a little beat up. Well, Candie and her baby Lulu are like the Queen and Princess. My loud little Beatrice is at the bottom and CONSANTLY gets beat up by them! I just feel bad for her because she has two goats, one with horns, hurting her 24/7.

Is there anything I can do?!?!  :(

The pics are Beatrice, the orange one, and Candie and Lulu, mama and baby (Queen and Princess)

  • thanks everyone- everything is appreciated.

beatrice is getting plenty of food- shes a little tank! We make sure everyone gets thier own bowl of food and there are at least two hay bins.

For now, we are going to keep everyone together.. We are really attached to them all.

Another thing is that Bea really isnt bothered with it- shes a bit of an air-head!

  • Beatrice is very cute.
  • You really should not mix horned goats with goat that don't have horns. I'd suggest selling the horned goat to a home where she can be with other horned goats or seeing if you can find a vet to dehorn her. Lulu will have the advantage over the other two as she gets bigger and realizes what she can do with her horns. I had two horned goats back when I first got started, and I sent them back to their former home after about three months because I was sure that they were going to kill one of the others. The day that one of them hooked his horns under the belly of a pregnant doe and lifted her off the ground was the day I said, that's it!

The biggest day-to-day thing you have to worry about is Beatrice getting enough food, so if they're keeping her away from her feed, they should be separated, or you should put feed in three different places.
