What age to stop breeding?

My Elly will be 9 this coming January and we usually like to kid in March.  I have had some say make this her last year but then I have read a few things that 8 is a good age to stop at.

Thoughts on this would be appreciated! Elly is in good shape, kids well, is driving our buck mad when she comes into heat! So not sure if I should or should not push my luck with her!

Thanks in advance for any advice! :-)

  • Thank you for this! I am pleased I can breed Elly one more year.

  • I continue to breed does until they are ten years old and have never had any problems. I did breed one doe for the last time when she was 9, but that's because she always had a hard time keeping weight on when she was in milk.
