I have a question. I have two does that came to me and do not look good. Both were given ivermectin the day before coming to me so I know there’s a parasite issue. I just got them. One has a very hard udder. I was told she kidded three days ago and babies died. I hand milk her and it’s colostrum. Is it normal for it to be super hard to milk out and to just get very little? When should her milk come in? How often should I be relieving her of colostrum?

The udder fills quickly after birth and will get very full and hard if no milk is being removed. It will be an effort to empty, but if you are wanting to keep her in milk, you should empty her out twice a day for now and then you can transition to once a day if you would like.
Also- since she was just dewormed with Ivermectin, there will be a timeframe that the milk needs to be discarded and not used for human consumption. I would ask the breeder how much Ivermevtin was given and exactly what product and how it was given.
