The problem with much of the information shared online about giving Tums to goats is that it is not specific about dosage, when to give it, how often, why to give it, when you should expect to see results, and what to do if a goat doesn't respond. If you don't give enough to a goat with true hypocalcemia, they will die. If you continue giving it to a goat long term, they can wind up zinc deficient. This is way more complicated than just telling someone to give their goat a couple of Tums.
