A lot of people think that coccidiosis is inevitable in kids and that starting them on a medicated feed or other coccidiostat when they are three weeks old is mandatory. I thought that at one time, but we quit doing that about ten years ago, and we have had only two cases of coccidiosis since then — and we've had about 400 kids since then.
