Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats

for people who love the littlest dairy goats

Tater a 3 year old buck has suddenly gone off of his feed.  He acts like he's feeling well and doesn't appear to be loosing weight.  However, for the last couple of days he just noses around his hay pellets and hasn't cleaned them up.  We've never used him to cover a doe.  He's been vaccinated and is in a pen by himself, but next to the herdsires. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You'll probably get more responses if you post in the forum, rather than as a blog post. Blog posts are generally stories about your farm or goats and don't get as much attention as forum discussions. Click on "Forum" at the top of the page, then "add" and a form should pop up for you to post your question.

Can you also tell us more about what you feed? Is Tater on pasture? What part of the country are you in? What season is it and what's the weather like? Does he have free-choice hay available? Have you seen him chew? Could he have a dental problem? How is he pooping? Do you see him chewing his cud?
