  • I just posted my response on the forum, because the response was too long for a wall post. Also, you'll be able to ask questions on there, and others can chime in with their experiences.

  • If the kids have been on mom for two weeks already, then the disease protection is moot, because if she has CAE, the kids already have it. As for bonding, I don't think you'll have any trouble with your kids being friendly, based upon the pictures I see on here. If your children are handling them every day, they'll be just as friendly as bottle babies.
  • Just saw your status update and wanted to suggest that you post your situation in the forum. If you've never milked, I'd suggest NOT bottlefeeding the kids. You want them to stay on mom to make her continue production. Beginning milkers are often NOT very good at it, and her production will plummet if you're not getting the milk out. Check the archives in the "Home Dairy" section of the forum, and if you have milking questions, post there. You'll get the most responses that way, and you can start a discussion with people on your situation.
  • I enjoy " 1st times ", they generally leave a lasting impression :) and Gracie's twins are definitely that :D

We hope to have a baby or two for next spring,... if all goes according to plans ??
  • Welcome Jenny and congrats on two beautiful kids!
