Comfrey

Husband and I have been talking about the many uses of comfrey this year. We have several patches here and there and want to use it.  I have been cutting stalks for the goats in the last few days. At first they really weren't sure what it was but now they seem to relish it.  If I can figure out how to dry it we would put it by for winter goat use.10603993863?profile=original

  • I haven't dried comfrey, but I have dried other herbs by either loosely tying them into a bouquet and hanging upside down or by laying them in a single layer on a cookie sheet and putting them in an out of the way place until they dry, which is usually a week or two. Those look like pretty thick leaves, so would probably be closer to two weeks.
