Exciting news in my world of goats!

I am getting TWO DOES!!!! YAY Hill Country's Indiana and Pine Shadows Isabel. Since my bucks are only NDGA registered I have decided to weather them. My mentor has agreed to breed the does for me, So they won't be here for another month or so. But the great news is we should have some very nice kids in January/February. Wonderful Find

I have been fortunately to acquire two Dogloo dog houses. One was free and the other $10. We washed them out and removed the bottoms and put them in the outside goat pens. My sweeties love them and are either inside or on top! They are just perfect for them!

Sane Again!

You know when you make a decision and then when it happens you immediately know it was the wrong one! I've spent two weeks living with a poor decision but today I recognized the source of my crabbiness and hate to do the chores attitude. It was the non-ND I let come into my barn! Country sex

Yep..it happens! I watched Iris lean on the buck fence and tease him unmercifully. Of course she'd gotten me up three mornings in a row with her blatting and her milk production had dropped. So I put her in with him. He courted her. She stood nicely and then she smiled!

Oh the peeping!

I convinced David to let me get 6 baby chicks from the feed store recently. I think they are getting on 4 weeks old now. By next week we will have to split them up into separate cages because they will be too big for the 2x2x2 transport cage we have them in now. I need to get him out there building another one...We have them inside right now because it is so freakin hot, and because the goats (probably Stan) decided they would pounce on top of the wire lid...no one was hurt.
