"I am just so sorry that your first experience with kidding has been so traumatic :( Hopefully these babies are nursing like champs through the night. It helps that Quail is an experienced mama and knows what her babies need. My experienced moms…"
"Alfalfa pellets are just plain alfalfa hay in pellet form. It will give mama an extra calcium source to help her babies bones grow strong and give her a boost for milk production. You can start off with a small amount and gradually increase. Since…"
"Hi Emma - I’m so sorry this has happened to you twice and I know you must be very stressed. The position of the kids at birth actually indicates that they were likely dead before the doe went into labor. So I believe you are dealing…"

Hi, Tammy. Good to meet you. My family has a small homestead in the Texas Hill Country and we raise a herd of 4 Nigerian Dwarf, 1 Boer, 1 African Pygmy and 5 Nigora Goats. Four of our does are currently pregnant, three of which are for the first time, and all due this April. We survived the recent snow and are excited for Spring. I am happy to be here with all of you. Thank you for the welcome.
