My little girl, Nickel, decided to become a dairy goat on her own about two years ago.  When the weather gets cold, neither of us like spending time in a cold milking room with cold hands and warm…Continue

I'd like suggestions on what to plant for a winter cover crop that Nigerians like to eat.  We have pretty cold weather here at 6000 feet, and I need to get something in the ground right away but am…Continue

Roz....  I read your post and you say you feed your goats alfalfa.  I'm been reading posts that say alfalfa is too rich and not to feed too much??? the goatspot.com even says that.  My two aren't breeding and I have four bales that should last a long time, but am concerned about whether I"ll feed them too much alfalfa?   I bought some bermuda grass hay and they don't like it as much as alfalfa  --- any advice?  I'm in South NM  :-(
