"The small shavings can be throw them in the blender, and used in your laundry power mix.  If you mean larger end slivers, you can collect them and put them together to sell as sample or travel packs - we used to do that and they are super easy…"

"Hi, I've had goats nearly for 18 months now.  I'm in Nigeria so I won't answer 1 and 2 as its going to be too different!  For 3) parasites, I also just treat as necessary - I've never treated for internal, just external…"

"From a beginner to another beginner: I've found loads of general information by poring through the old posts in the forum. Every time I think I have to ask a question, I find the answer (or a good enough answer) in there. Best wishes!"

Deborah Niemann-Boehle replied to Elizabeth's discussion Can a nigerian dwarf goat be considered a pygmy goat?
"When I went to buy my first goats, the woman raised both NDs and pygmies, and I kept asking which was which, and after a few I was trying to guess and getting it wrong! Now I shudder at the thought! :)"

"Ditto on everything Rachel said. I'm sure your local code enforcement officer couldn't differentiate between a pygmy and a ND if his/her life depended on it.  This is very cool! Where do you live?"

Rachel Whetzel at MigMog Acres replied to Elizabeth's discussion Do you have to register?
"So it must be registry specific... interesting! I'm glad ADGA didn't require that, because I had NO CLUE about herd names, etc. when I got my goats!! I am glad I had time to let the name come to us. lol"
