  It would only take you four hours if you did it in rush hour. It takes me an hour and a half to get to O'Hare in good traffic. I attended a dairy goat day at Prairie Crossing seven or eight years ago, and I'm thinking it was 2-3 hours on a Saturday.
  We have an open farm day three or four times a year where people can come just to visit, meet the animals, and see stuff like a cheese making demo, milking goats, scything, spinning, etc. There are also classes offered through the year in a variety of things -- they're listed at http://www.antiquityoaks.com/classes.html if you're interested in learning any of that stuff. We've had to start saying no to just casual visits through the years because they'd usually take two hours or more, and the requests had become too numerous for us to continue doing that while growing most of our own food. I'm sorry we had to stop doing that because I love talking about all of the stuff we do, but I remind myself it's not like I'm being a hermit with all the classes and speaking. I'm looking forward to meeting you soon! Any chance you're coming to the IVCC homesteading conference tomorrow?
