Upcoming Goat Hoof Care Class - Seattle

Seattle Farm Co-op presents:
Goat Pedis 101: Trimming for Function and Health
Instructor - Rebecca Hazard, Certified Farrier
Sunday May 6th, 12-1:30PM

In this class, learn what it takes to keep your goats' feet happy and
healthy. Rebecca Hazard of Z Bar Farrier Works will introduce you to
the basics of goat foot anatomy and trimming techniques, including
foot problems to watch for, tricks for managing squirmy goat bodies,
and the tools needed to do a safe job of trimming. Through
demonstration, you will gain the information you need to confidently
trim and treat your own goats' hooves. Time will also be available
after class for a one-on-one lesson as the instructor trims your goat
for an additional fee.
The Seattle Farm Co-op store will also be open during & after the
class, and you can stock up on new hoof care supplies we are ordering,
such as trimmers, hoof picks, rasps, hoof conditioner, and check out
the rest of our goat care products!

Class fee: $10-20 sliding scale SFC Members, $20 non-members
One-on-one trim: additional $15

  • You should add this to the "Event" list. On the home page, it's in the right-hand column. You have to page down a couple times to see it. Being listed in the forum is fine, but it will only be on the home page until other conversations push it down, and then it will be gone when eleven other conversations have had more recent posts. If it's in the event list, it will stay on the home page until the event is over.
