Well in all fairness, she had quads, but we lost the little buck. He had passed before we got home. Of course, after waiting weeks for an unknown due date....she had them while we were all at work and school. Found them when we got home about 3:30. One very large buck (2-3x bigger than the rest) looked like he had been born hours before we got home. Two little does that were very small. We had to work on one of them for a while to get her to show any life. Still watching her as she is very tiny and quiet. Momma start having little convulsions so we ensured all three kids suckled for a bit and called the vet to check her out. Gave her some Calcium and B vitamins and we brought the babies inside. She is totally wiped and I will milk her in the morning to feed babies. Meanwhile, bottle feeding all night. First timers here and praying that the babies make it thru the night. I, of course, will be up all night with them. Thank goodness I'm self employed. Kinda. Will send pictures when I figure how to get off my phone.

  • Day two. Fed every two hours, although they only nibbled. Littlest doe still quiet and just stands there. Large buck and other doe bouncing around.Took them out to mom at 6 am to nurse. All nursed abit. I milked about 2 oz out of her to make sure my littlest one was getting more colostreum and feed her by syringe. All pooping and peeing. Crossing our fingers for three healthy babies. Will take them out to mom around one oclock. She is still a bit weak and it is storming here. She welcomes them everytime. Still too cold for them to be outside. Sorry, I'm a new mommy and a bit too protective.
