Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats in the UK

Hi

After alot of consideration and research I have decided that I would like to purchase a couple of these little dairy goats.  Does anyone know if there are any breeders in the UK?  Unless I am wrong the UK seems to put these under the title of pygmy goats and doesn't differentiate between the different types but please correct me if I am wrong.

I am obviously a complete novice in the Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goat world and would appreciate any advice on purchasing etc.

I don't know the status of the Nigerians in the UK, and I don't know of any breeders there. The US did not differentiate between pygmies and Nigerians until the 1980s, which was when the first registry (IDGR) started accepting registrations and collecting pedigree data. Even today some people don't know the difference here. They just think they're small goats. I'd suggest contacting your dairy goat registries and asking them if they register NDs. Let us know what you learn.
